Project Overview Delivered in 2024 within the vibrant community of Madinaty, this project is a definitive expression of “Modern Transitional” design. It was crafted for a homeowner seeking the perfect equilibrium between the timeless charm of classic elements and the sharp, clean lines of contemporary architecture. The result is a kitchen that feels incredibly fresh, bright, and curated, offering a serene sanctuary for both culinary creativity and daily life.
Design in Details
The Challenge The objective was to design a space that feels “airy and open” while maintaining a distinct personality. The client wanted to avoid the clinical feel of an all-white kitchen but still required a light color palette to maximize the sense of space. Additionally, there was a need to blend different textures—natural wood, matte surfaces, and polished stone—into a cohesive narrative that feels sophisticated rather than cluttered.
The Engineering Solution We implemented a signature “Shaker-style” cabinetry system, finished in a unique matte Light Grayish-Blue. This choice of color provides a subtle, sophisticated alternative to traditional neutrals, shifting beautifully under different lighting conditions. To introduce a touch of organic warmth, we custom-built a focal-point range hood using whitewashed light wood, which serves as a rustic yet refined anchor for the entire design.
The workspace features high-durability polished Quartz countertops with a delicate speckled motif, extended into a full-height backsplash for a seamless, easy-to-clean surface. To provide a bold modern edge, we selected elongated “Matte Black” hardware, which creates a striking visual contrast against the soft blue cabinetry. The technical setup is optimized with integrated stainless steel appliances and a dual-layer lighting strategy: recessed ceiling fixtures for overall brightness and precision under-cabinet LED strips to eliminate shadows on the prep surfaces. This kitchen stands as a testament to how traditional forms can be reimagined for a modern, high-performance lifestyle.
